For over a decade, Culture Vultures has admired and collaborated with The Anou and Atlas Wool Supply, supporting their missions of artisan empowerment and environmental responsibility. ( see linked document and post ) Despite this alignment in values, recent communications have made clear that our ways of working no longer correspond.
Following a series of misinformed accusations, unrealistic conditions of exclusivity and realignment of practice, and exchanges marked by dominance and disrespect, we have chosen to withdraw from further collaboration. Even after Dan Drissols, founder and director, invitation for Cuture Vultures to visit The Anou, the tone, continued misinformed accusations and terms offered left little room for genuine dialogue.

We reject claims that misrepresent our organisation’s intentions or structure. Culture Vultures’ practice has, for more than ten years, been rooted in ethical engagement, reciprocity, and fair exchange, principles outlined in a recent post.
This decision does not diminish our respect for the causes both organisations advocate. Rather, it strengthens our resolve to continue working within a field of ethical and respectful collaborations, where mutual understanding and integrity remain the foundation of all partnerships.
